Synthesis of LiMn1.9Ti0.09Si0.01O4 by self-propagating combustion method

Abstract

Abstract. Cathode materials have been an essential area of research for many decades. In this work, a novel spinel cathode, LiMn 1.9 Ti 0.09 Si0 .01 O 4 was prepared via a combustion method using citric acid as a reductant. The objective is to obtain a pure and single phase cubic structured material. The precursors obtained were annealed at 600, 700 and 800 °C for 24 hours. The observed materials were characterized by thermal profiling and X-ray diffraction. Pure and single phase materials are obtained and achieved.
