The SrTiO 3 and La-and Y-doped SrTiO 3 were synthesized by the polymerized complex (PC) process and the subsequent sintering. The X-ray diffraction patterns of the SrTiO 3 , Sr 0.9 La 0.1 TiO 3 and Sr 0.9 Y 0.1 TiO 3 powder precursor synthesized by the PC process showed that the perovskite SrTiO 3 structure could be obtained. After the sintering by hot pressing, it was found that the compacts mostly remained to be the perovskite SrTiO 3 structure. The Sr 0.9 La 0.1 TiO 3 and Sr 0.9 Y 0.1 TiO 3 samples showed the Seebeck coefficient and the electrical resistivity lower than those of the non-doped SrTiO 3 , indicating an increase in carrier concentration. Besides that, the power factor of the Sr 0.9 Y 0.1 TiO 3 sintered compact was almost the same as that of the Sr 0.9 Y 0.1 TiO 3 prepared by the conventional solid state reaction method. Thus, it was found that La-and Y-doped SrTiO 3 were synthesized by the PC process, calcination and hot pressing.
