Abstract:Based on functionally substituted cyclobutаnecarboxylic acid constructed by the method of Atom Transfer Radical Cyclization (ATRC) of polyhalogenhexenoic acid in the presence of the copper(I) amine complexes, two new derivatives were synthesized. Their structural features - gem-dimethyl, trichloromethyl and carboxyl groups attached directly to small strained carbocycles make them potentially active as agonists for neural sodium channels, as well as GABA and NMDA receptors.
