Abstract:Polyimides show excellent thermal stability and mechanical properties, but the high glass transition temperature (T g ) renders difficulty to their processing. To solve such a problem, herein, a series of novel poly(imide-urea)s (PIUs) were synthesized from CO 2 -based polyureas (PUas) with 3,3′,4,4′biphenyltetracarboxylic dianhydride (s-BPDA) and 4,4′-diaminodiphenyl ether (ODA) in the absence of isocyanate. The PIUs with adjustable thermal and mechanical properties and variable solubility were obtained by al… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
