“…Our results revealed that P. fulva belongs to the group of highly siderophore‐producing strains. The coefficient of activity ( W act ) reached nearly 10 and was one of the highest values we observed in the group of Pseudomonadales in our earlier studies . Higher W act values (in the range of 30–35) were obtained only in the case of 5 strains of Streptomyces sp.…”

“…An experiment with lead‐resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa 4EA revealed synthesis of lead‐enhanced catecholates (pyochelin and pyoverdin) in media supplemented with 0.5 mM lead nitrate . Our earlier studies revealed that among all isolated rhizosphere and endophytic bacteria associated with alder and birch growing in a heavy‐metal polluted area the most effective strains in siderophore synthesis belonged to the genus Streptomyces and were able to secrete three types of siderophores (hydroxamates, catecholates, and phenolates) under Cd 2+ stress . However, in the above experiment, increasing Cd 2+ ions concentrations in the medium stimulated Streptomycetes strains to synthesize mainly ferrioxamine B .…”
