“…The successful extraction methods and product characteristics are influenced by many factors, including solvent concentrations, RHA to solvent ratio [15], acid treatment, aging time and temperature [16], gelation pH [16], [17], extraction time and temperature [18], solvent type (NaOH [17], Na2CO3 [19], KOH [20]), feed rate of the precipitant, and mixing speed [21]. In the present study, which was the continuation of our previous works [15], [18], [20], the effectiveness of NaOH or KOH as the extraction solvent in combination with different aging time on the product yield and purity was compared under the same experimental conditions.
