Abstract:Dithiocarbamate complex compounds are widely used as anticancer, antibacterial, and antifungal. The compound Zinc (II) N-Benylmethyl Dithiocarbamate was successfully synthesized to find a picture of the structure and antibacterial activity against Salmonella typhi bacteria. This compound was synthesized by in situ method, namely by the addition of N-benzyl methylamine, carbon disulfide, and zinc chloride, identification using FTIR, 1H NMR, and 13C NMR.
