Abstract:ZnO crystals with octahedral morphology were synthesized in large quantity using a simple thermal evaporation of ZnF 2 powder in air. No catalysts and impurities were not used in the synthetic process. Scanning electron microscopy image showed that the synthesized ZnO crystals were of well-defined octahedral shape with smooth surfaces. X-ray diffraction data revealed that the octahedral-shaped ZnO crystals had a hexagonal wurtzite structure. As the synthetic temperature increased, the crystal size increased wi… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
