“…The coordination polyhedron of the Fe(1) atom is a distorted octahedron with the average Fe-O and Fe-N distances 1.902(5) and 2.126(5) Å, respectively, and the angels from 73.5(2) to 106.9(2)° for atoms in cis-and 153.5(2) to 178.5(2)° in trans-positions (Table 2). These distances are similar to those found in 2-hydroxybenzaldehyde 4-allyl-S-methylisothiosemicarbazone (S-MeTscH) 21 and 4-allyl-S-ethylisothiosemicarbazone (S-EtTscH) 29 . A similar way of coordination of L -, S-MeTsc -, and S-EtTscis observed in the Fe(III) complexes despite the difference in substituents at the sulfur atom of these isothiosemicarbazones.…”

“…For the studied series of coordination compounds the activity of complexes substantially depends on the nature of central atom in the following way: Ni≈Fe>Co>Cu. Previously, coordination compounds of some 3d metals with 2-hydroxybenzaldehyde 4-allylthiosemicarbazone (TscH) 35 , 2-hydroxybenzaldehyde 4-allyl-S-methylisothiosemicarbazone (S-MeTscH) 21 , 2-hydroxybenzaldehyde 4-allyl-S-ethylisothiosemicarbazone (S-EtTscH) 29 have been described. As it can be seen from the diagram (Fig.…”

“…The observed Fe−N(H) distances correspond to the high spin state of the complex according to the literature data for the octahedral FeN 4 O 2 complexes with different ligands [30] . Up to date, the only two Fe complexes with modified thsa chelating ligands in FeN 4 O 2 coordination mode are known [31,32] . They both are high‐spin and also have similar Fe−N/O bond lengths as in 2 .…”

“…[30] Up to date, the only two Fe complexes with modified thsa chelating ligands in FeN 4 O 2 coordination mode are known. [31,32] They both are high-spin and also have similar FeÀ N/O bond lengths as in 2. An additional evidence of the HS state of the complex 2 is given by an essential distortion within the coordination Fe III octahedron (NÀ FeÀ O and NÀ FeÀ N angles are far from 180°, Table S3; the distortion parameter Σ, which is a measure of the net angular deviation from the idealized octahedral geometry, equals 118.1/ 116.9°for two molecular sites, Table S4).…”

“…A series of publications have studied the particularities of action of new antimicrobial compounds, showing various biochemical composition changes in the cells of microbial pathogens subjected to toxic antimicrobial activity. It is known that the enzymes catalase (CT) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) are actively involved in protecting cells of pathogenic microorganisms against biochemical factors produced by macrophages in vivo to stop infection (3,4,5,6).…”
