“…As a representative example, a 2D to 3D parallelly polycatenated MOF [(Ti 3 O)(iPrO) 8 ] 1.5 [L] 3 [Cu 4 I 4 ] based on tetrahedral Cu 4 I 4 clusters with 1.70 eV band gap displayed better degradation of methylene blue (MB), rhodamine B (RhB), and methyl orange (MO) dyes with efficiencies of 100% in 12 min, 98% in 20 min, and 98% in 28 min, respectively (Figure ) compared to the other 2D MOFs reported therein . Radical scavengers such as isopropyl alcohol for • OH, benzoquinone for O 2 • – and ammonium oxalate/EDTA-2Na for h + were also introduced to prove the involvement of reactive radical species reflected through decrement in photodegradation efficiency. , Similarly, a few other 2D MOFs for dye degradation are also reported. …”

“…A cobalt-based MOF with two-fold interpenetrating structures used in the detection, discrimination, and degradation of phenolic pollutants was reported . Most of reported Co-MOFs could degrade organic dyes under the participation of cocatalysts or relatively high-energy radiation. …”
