Synthesis, Structure and Properties of a Trinuclear μ‐Cyano Tetracyanodinitrosylferrate Copper Complex

Abstract: Nitroprusside reacts with [Cu(dohpn)(H2O)]ClO4 (dohpn = 2,3,9,10‐tetramethyl‐1,4,8,11‐tetraazaundecane‐1,3,8,10‐tetraen‐11‐ol‐1‐olate) in methanol to produce the title complex. Single‐crystal structure analysis shows a neutral discrete trinuclear molecule containing two [Cu(dohpn)]+ units linked by one [Fe(CN)4(NO)2]2− anion through bridging‐cyanide ligands.
