“…Figure 2 a shows the Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) image of Ag NPs previously synthesized in our lab and reported in ref. [ 22 ], of spherical grain shape along with average size of around 20 nm. Figure 2 b shows the SEM image of the formed nanofibers mat, with a mean diameter of nanofibers of less than 100 nm, which offers a better effect of Ag NPs to bacteria due to the higher surface-to-volume ratio.…”

“…A magnetic gun was used to generate magnetic impulses of 50% duty cycle based on an input interrupted current of 80 mA through a Helmholtz coil of 445 turns each and total resistance of 6.8 ohms. The pulsed magnetic waves were directed by the gun to the exposure chamber where the samples were placed at the midpoint between the two sets of Helmholtz coils, 10 cm apart [ 22 , 23 ]. The magnetic field intensity was measured at the point at which samples were placed and confirmed to be 0.32 mT by using a Gauss/Tesla meter model 4048 with probe T-4048.001 (USA) of accuracy ±2%.…”

“…Creation, exploitation and synthesis are nanotechnology concepts that typically consider materials smaller than 1 mm in dimension [10]. Many different methods, such as physical, chemical and green (biological) techniques, have been used to synthesize nanoparticles [11][12][13]. The stabilized nanoparticles are formed by reducing in dimension [10].…”

“…The arc discharge technique is another example of nanoparticles synthesized within the top-down approach. It is widely used and simple to synthesize nanometal particles [ 41 ]. One another application of this technique is the synthesis of 2D nanomaterials in arc plasmas [ 42 ].…”
