Synthetic lubricating greases for the food industry

Abstract

The requirements of lubricating greases in the deep‐freezing industries, that lubricants do not undergo degradation of their lubricating properties, and the need for non‐aromatic and non‐toxic/non‐carcinogenic lubricants in food production, are discussed. Experimental data on the applicability of synthetic oils as bases for synthetic greases, are presented.
