Synthetic lubricating greases for the food industry

Abstract: The requirements of lubricating greases in the deep‐freezing industries, that lubricants do not undergo degradation of their lubricating properties, and the need for non‐aromatic and non‐toxic/non‐carcinogenic lubricants in food production, are discussed. Experimental data on the applicability of synthetic oils as bases for synthetic greases, are presented.
