Chronic suppurative otitis media or CSOM is an chronic inflammatory process that occurs in the middle ear, which is caused by bacteria with perforation of the tympanic membrane and the presence of ottorhoea. The most common causative bacteria is Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Topical antibiotic using ciprofloxacin can be used to treat for CSOM.
