Systematic Review: Hubungan Diet Mediterania dengan Mortalitas pada Individu Lanjut Usia Berdasar Atas Bradford Hills

Abstract. The Bradford Hills criteria serve to evaluate the uncounted hypothetical relationship between the exposure and the effect of a given exposure with nine criteria. The cause of mortality is currently more often caused by non- communicable diseases (PTM) and is more common in elderly individuals. One of the preventions of PTM is diet. Although various current diet models have been proposed, the main focus of researchers, doctors, and institutions is the Mediterranean diet that has beneficial effects on the body that can reduce all the risk of causing death. The goal of the study was to analyze the relationship between the Mediterranean diet and mortality in elderly individuals. The study used systematic reviews, looking for articles from the MedLine, SpringerLink, and Science Direct databases, articles that matched the keywords of 2,098 articles and which were included in the exclusion criteria of 677 articles. The results of due diligence and critical review based on PICOS and eligibility criteria were obtained as many as seven articles. The study was conducted from February to November 2021. The results of the study and analysis of the seven studies suggested there was significant cholera between high Mediterranean dietary scores with a 5% to 44% lower risk of all causes of death, cardiovascular disease (CVD), coronary artery disease (CAD), and cancer, and had a twoyear longer survival. The results of this study showed that higher dietary adherence and higher Mediterranean dietary scores lowered the risk of mortality, longer survival, and a reduced risk of developing CVD disease, cancer, and Ischaemia Heart Disease (IHD).
 Abstrak. Kriteria Bradford Hills berfungsi untuk mengevaluasi hubungan hipotesis yang tidak terhitung antara pajanan dan akibat pajanan yang diberikan dengan sembilan kriteria. Penyebab mortalitas saat ini lebih sering disebabkan oleh Penyakit Tidak Menular (PTM) dan lebih sering terjadi pada individu lanjut usia. Salah satu pencegahan terjadinya PTM yaitu diet. Meskipun berbagai model diet saat ini telah diusulkan, tetapi fokus utama para peneliti, dokter, dan institusi adalah diet mediterania yang memiliki efek menguntungkan pada tubuh yaitu dapat munurunkan semua risiko penyebab kematian. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis hubungan antara diet mediterania dengan mortalitas pada individu lanjut usia. Penelitian ini menggunakan systematic review, dengan mencari artikel dari database MedLine, SpringerLink, dan Science Direct, artikel yang sesuai dengan kata kunci sebanyak 2.098 artikel dan yang termasuk dalam kriteria eksklusi sebanyak 677 artikel. Hasil uji kelayakan dan telaah kritis berdasar atas PICOS dan kriteria kelayakan didapatkan sebanyak tujuh artikel. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada periode Februari sampai dengan November 2021. Hasil telaah dan analisis dari ketujuh studi menyatakan terdapat kolerasi bermakna antara skor diet mediterania yang tinggi dengan 5% sampai 44% risiko lebih rendah dari semua penyabab kematian, penyebab kematian terkait Cardiovascular Disease (CVD), Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) dan kanker, dan memiliki kelangsungan hidup dua tahun lebih lama. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kepatuhan diet yang lebih tinggi dan skor diet mediterania yang lebih tinggi menurunkan risiko mortalitas, kelangsungan hidup yang lebih lama, dan penurunan risiko mengalami penyakit CVD, kanker dan Ischaemia Heart Disease (IHD).
