Tacit knowledge in organizations: bibliometrics and a framework-based systematic review of antecedents, outcomes, theories, methods and future directions

Abstract: Purpose The purpose of this bibliometric and systematic literature review is to survey and evaluate key study’s in tacit knowledge (TK). Through analysing and synthesizing based on the antecedents, decisions, outcomes-theories, context and methods (ADO-TCM) framework, this paper highlights research gaps and avenues for future research. It is important to recognize the antecedents, results and theories in the available literature as it offers enough evidence for encouraging the significance of TK. Design/meth… Show more

“…First, by referring to Feldman et al (2015) and Manolis et al (2013), the authors classified the learning styles into four types, followed by investment experience. Second, we investigate the dominance of assimilative and convergent learning types with two dimensions of knowledge acquisition; latent (tacit & material) and active (actor & kinetic), with the highest causality relationship value (Giampaoli et al, 2017;Thomas & Gupta, 2021;Wang et al, 2020). Therefore, if the first and second stages are proven valid, these results indicate the robustness of the relationship between either unsophisticated or sophisticated investors and knowledge acquisition dimensions constructed in this study.…”

“…Furthermore, this study focuses on the two learning styles by reflecting investors with the convergent type as investors with the ideal learning type because they combine theoretical concepts, which are then put into practice and further evaluated in the learning cycle. So, their cognition can continue to develop optimally compared to other types of learning (Cheng et al, 2017;Haddad et al, 2019;Thomas & Gupta, 2021). The first concept is knowledge acquisition stated by Alexander (2017) and Johnson (2010), which precisely in this study involves acquiring investors' knowledge.…”

“…(McLoughlin and Lee, 2007). Using some of the online COPs like WhatsApp groups, Google groups, Facebook and YouTube communities, mentor and mentee members can create content, share knowledge, collaborate and conveniently communicate (Mishra et al, 2020;Thomas and Gupta, 2022a;Gupta, 2020). Online collaborative tools are elemental for fostering student interaction and stimulating intra-group emotional support.…”

“…As a result, a prospective study indeed can develop AbL and WbL research in physics subject based on keyword mapping visualizations. There are certainly chances to do research in AbL and WbL in physics subject on less-used keywords or to improve on more-used terms and to build a new innovation of the learning media [93][94] [95].…”
