Gadgets as a communication tool that facilitates human communication activities are currently widely used by the community, including children, because gadgets are an interesting thing for children, so most of them spend time playing gadgets. Parental guidance and supervision is very important for children in using gadgets that can hinder children's social development. The purpose of this study was to determine the Social Development of Early Childhood, to describe how the use gadgets in early childhood, to describe the role of parents on the social development of early childhood in using gadgets. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with a field research approach (field research). The results obtained during the research are that children spend more time playing with their friends compared to playing with gadgets because gadgets are used as a medium for learning, for example watching letter recognition shows, number recognition, introducing the names of the Prophets and so on, of course, limited by time duration from 15 minutes to 2 hours. And most parents have carried out their role as mentors and caregivers for their children. This can be seen from the efforts that have been made by parents in maintaining social development in children.
