Abstract: Cancer stem cells (CSCs) comprise the root of cancers and remain a therapeutic challenge since they are quiescent, resist traditional therapies and are fundamentally tumorigenic. Therefore, effective cancer treatments require CSC-targeted approaches that function in representative CSC microenvironments.
