Taxonomic studies on the genus Isotrema (Aristolochiaceae) from China: II. I. brevilimbum (Aristolochiaceae), a new species from Guizhou, China

Abstract

<jats:p>A new species of <jats:italic>Isotrema</jats:italic> was recently discovered from Guizhou, China and is here named as <jats:italic>I. brevilimbum</jats:italic>. It is most similar to <jats:italic>I. ovatifolium</jats:italic> and <jats:italic>I. wardianum</jats:italic>, but differs in the morphology of leaves and flowers. A detailed description for the new species, along with line drawings, photographs, as well as morphological comparisons with similar species, are provided. In addition, the distribution of <jats:italic>I. wardianum</jats:italic> in China is here confirmed.</jats:p>

Isotrema putalengense, a new species of Aristolochiaceae from northern Vietnam and two new combinations in Isotrema

“…O.C.Schmidt (Schmidt 1935) and differ from others of Aristolochia by having perianth strongly curved, gynostemium 3-lobed, anthers paired on the outer surface of each gynostemium segment, and capsule dehiscing basipetally.
