Teacher strategies simulation by using fuzzy systems

Abstract: Fuzzy system technologies are of emerging interest in the specification and implementation of complex systems. This article introduces fuzzy instructional planner, which models the tutor module in a intelligent tutorial system (ITS). The behaviour of this system is defined by strategies which adapt the learning process for individual students by applying appropriate pedagogical methodologies. For this reason, the purpose of a instructional planner is to mimic the behaviour of the teacher able to control learni… Show more

“…difficult to generate because of the uncertainties in the knowledge of complicated gelatinization behavior. In this study, an FLC was applied for DG control since fuzzy rules were an intuitive carrier of the field knowledge of manual operations [27]. The frame of an FLC was shown in Fig- 7, which showed the input information was processed through fuzzification, inference mechanism and defuzzification successively, and a rule base was used as the foundation of inference process.…”

“…Intelligent Tutoring Systems [1][2][3] were first used in the 70s as a way to provide greater flexibility to the learning strategy and to achieve better interaction with the user [4]. The aim of ITS is to capture the knowledge of experts to create dynamic interactions with the users, allowing them to make decisions, even those that may not have been anticipated by the experts.…”
