Abstract: BackgroundIonoacoustics is a promising approach to reduce the range uncertainty in proton therapy. A miniature‐sized optical hydrophone (OH) was used as a measuring device to detect weak ionoacoustic signals with a high signal‐to‐noise ratio in water.
