Techno-Economic Analysis of Solar Power Plants in Kuwait: Modelling the Performance of PV and CSP Systems

Abstract: In order to evaluate the provision of solar power plants in Kuwait, techno-economic analysis has been performed for photovoltaic (PV) and concentrated solar (CSP) power plants with a capacity of 100 MW. The optimal location for the power plants is determined to be Al-Wafra in Kuwait. The analysis results have been compared, and the advantages and disadvantages of each technology are reported.
