“…Studies of Caribbean ceramics seem to have either focused on their morphological attributes and stylistic motifs (Roe, ; Righter, ; Keegan, ; Fitzpatrick et al, ) or their chemical composition, though even the latter has been woefully understudied (Fitzpatrick, ; Mann, ; Lambert et al, ; Carini, ; Winter & Gilstrap, ; van As & Jacobs, ; see Isendoorn, Hofman, & Booden, ; other papers in special issue of the Journal of Caribbean Archaeology 2008).
