Abstract:The paper presents the results of metallographic studies and tribotechnical tests of samples of grade 2 wheel steel in the form of bushings, the end surface of which was processed using turning and milling operations. It was found that the greatest influence on the microhardness of the surface layers during milling was exerted by the tool feed rate.
