Technological process modeling aiming to improve its operations management

Abstract: This paper presents the modeling procedure of one real technological system. In this study, the copper extraction from the copper flotation waste generated at the Bor Copper Mine (Serbia), were the object of modeling. Sufficient data base for statistical modeling was constructed using the orthogonal factorial design of the experiments. Mathematical model of investigated system was developed using the combination of linear and multiple linear statistical analysis approach. The purpose of such a model is obtaini… Show more

“…For a comparative evaluation of processes functioning, the authors traditionally introduce a number of estimated indicators and indicators of quality control, each of which determines one or another side of these processes [11]. If applying of indicators is related to control, then it is necessary to distinguish the category of indicators directly related to cybernetics [12,13].…”

“…The copper loss in the smelting slag is generally considered in the literature (Mitevska 2000;Jalkanen, Vehviläinen, and Poijärvi 2003;Zivkovic et al 2009Zivkovic et al , 2010Mihajlović et al 2011), while data on the other elements' distribution, between the slag and matte, are rare. In this paper, we present the results of the research on the effect of slag basicity and composition on the coefficient of distribution of certain metals between the slag and the matte.…”
