Abstract: Technology advancement in modern planetary exploration has extended extraterrestrial geological science by sending rovers on challenging, possibly risky but highly scientific-valuable ventures, such as ascending towards the crater walls, traversing steep slopes of sand dunes and travelling through the lava tube.
