“…The analyzed spinel grains plot within the ophiolite field on both -Cr/ (Ti/Fe) # 100 Fe and Fe 3ϩ -Cr-Al diagrams and in the SSZ peridotite field on a TiO 2 -Al 2 O 3 diagram ( fig. 5d-5f; Cookenboo et al 1997;Chutakositkanon et al 2001;Preston et al 2002).…”

“…The occurrence of detrital chromian spinels was recently reported from the Permian Nam Maholan Formation, Loei area (Sugiyama et al . 2000), and the Permian Nam Duk Formation, Phetchabun area (Chutakositkanon et al . 2001), in Thailand.…”

“…The volcanic rocks in the Nakhon Nayok area, located in the southern part of the western sub-belt, are also geochemically arc-related magma. The Khao Yai Volcanics ages, obtained from Ar-Ar dating of hypabyssal rocks, and volcanic rocks, located in the northwest of the studied area, are of Jurassic age; hence implying that the dated rocks are younger than the Permian marine sequences [7,8]. In addition, the geochemistry of Permo-Triassic Maficto-Intermediate Dyke swarms in the folded layers of the Khao Khwang Fold-Thrust Belt (KKFTB) at the south-western margin of the Indochina Terrane, Central Thailand have ranged from slightly tholeiitic to mostly calc-alkalic.…”
