Telemetric hemodynamic assessment during anesthesia induction with propofol in experimental heart failure

Abstract: In comparison to healthy subjects patients with CVD have an impaired cardiac function that may be further compromised by anesthesia [2]. It is important to avoid a decrease in myocardial contractility, to maintain normal blood pressure and coronary perfusion and to prevent an afterload increase in predisposing patients for arrhythmias and thromboembolic events [3,4].
