Telomerase Suppresses Formation of ALT-Associated Single-Stranded Telomeric C-Circles

Abstract: Telomere maintenance is an essential characteristic of cancer cells, most commonly achieved by activation of telomerase. Telomeres can also be maintained by a recombination-based mechanism, alternative lengthening of telomeres (ALT).
