Temperature Measurement of An Inclined Cylinder Using Optical Interferometry

Abstract: Abstract-Temperature profile of an inclined elliptic cylinder is studied experimentally using optical interferometry. Interferograms of the elliptical cylinder with an isothermal surface were recorded by He-Ne laser. The cylinder were placed with its major axis inclined 30° with respect to the horizontal. Temperature profile around the cylinder was quantitatively reconstructed from the locations of fringe center.
