Investigation of the timedependent hydrothermal reaction shows 27 that the growth of the lanthanum hydroxide nanorods at 150 uC involves four different steps: nucleation, aggregation, dissolution-recrystallization and the growth process. Lanthanum hydroxide nanoparticles form during the nucleation-dissolution process, while during the growth-recrystallization process, the anisotropic nanostructures crystallize.…”
