TEOS/Silane-Coupling Agent Composed Double Layers Structure: A Novel Super-hydrophilic Surface

Abstract: In order to increase the anti-dust and self-cleaning property of photovoltaic cells, this paper proposes a simple way to synthesis a novel self-cleaning, super-hydrophilic coating material based on double layers structure. The first layer is made from TEOS for gaining the number of Si-OH bond on the surface of the glass, and then the second layer, which is a special silane-coupling agent, is attached on the TEOS layer firmly. Since the silane-coupling agent has a superhydrophilic chain, after the reaction, suc… Show more

“…Therefore, they reinforce the adhesion and increase the strength of the bonded joint . Thermoplastic polymers benefit the most from aminosilanes, which are widely used for surface treatments . They have sensitive hydrolytic centers that form stable covalent bonds with superficial functional groups, and provide an organic substitute to react with other groups, and consequently cause permanent changes in the surface properties of the substance .…”

“…19,21,28 Thermoplastic polymers benefit the most from aminosilanes, which are widely used for surface treatments. 18,20,29,30 They have sensitive hydrolytic centers that form stable covalent bonds with superficial functional groups, and provide an organic substitute to react with other groups, and consequently cause permanent changes in the surface properties of the substance. 20,30 The method employed in this study is based on the fact that hydrogen atoms of the amines (-NH2) can interact and couple with the polyamide surface functional groups and create active sites.…”

“…Therefore, to adsorb nanoparticles on these interfaces, their surface activity can be improved by modifying the surface of the nanoparticles. For instance, it has been shown that the ether groups in the chain of silanic compounds are used to cause surface water wetting, as reported by Yan et al (2015) (Yan et al 2015). Behzadi and Mohammadi (2016) investigated the surface modification of nanosilica by measuring the contact angle and IFT for EOR process (Behzadi and Mohammadi 2016).…”
