Abstract:La leishmaniasis es una enfermedad parasitaria crónica endémica. Aproximadamente, el 95% de los casos se producen en las Américas, la cuenca del Mediterráneo, Oriente Medio y Asia Central. La forma cutánea es la de mayor frecuencia, siendo endémica en el sureste de México (Quintana Roo, Campeche, Chiapas, Tabasco, Veracruz y Yucatán).
