Tercerización laboral en la industria siderúrgica en Brasil y Argentina a partir del cambio de siglo: cuantificación y análisis del fenómeno

Abstract

The article aims to analyze the phenomenon of labour outsourcing in Argentina and Brazil in terms of its expansion and impact in the steel industry of both countries from the turn of the century. Since 2000, there has been a hinged moment from which the qualitative and quantitative performance of central variables of the economy and the labour market changed in both cases, while transforming the State's policies in relation to trade unions. However, a number of regressive phenomena persist at different economic stages, and this can be seen in the expansion of labour outsourcing. The hypothesis guided by the article argues that labour outsourcing is a central phenomenon to study business strategies of large regional and global economic groups. The methodology combines qualitative and quantitative strategies, from the collection of a significant amount of empirical data from documentary sources and interviews, crossed with research inputs with case studies.
