Recent research on traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) saponin pharmacokinetics has revealed transformative breakthroughs and challenges. The multicomponent nature of TCM makes it difficult to select representative indicators for pharmacokinetic studies. The clinical application of saponins is limited by their low bioavailability and short half-life, resulting in fluctuating plasma concentrations. Future directions should focus on novel saponin compounds utilizing colon-specific delivery and osmotic pump systems to enhance oral bioavailability. Optimizing drug combinations, such as ginsenosides with aspirin, shows therapeutic potential. Rigorous clinical validation is essential for practical applications. This review emphasizes a transformative era in saponin research, highlighting the need for clinical validation. TCM saponin pharmacokinetics, guided by traditional principles, are in development, utilizing multidisciplinary approaches for a comprehensive understanding. This research provides a theoretical basis for new clinical drugs and supports rational clinical medication.

The advent of biobased materials exhibiting remarkable effectiveness and performance has ushered in a paradigm shift in the field of biomedical science. Polymers are often used in the medical sector, particularly in the regeneration of bones, tissues, and wounds. Fast wound healing and selfhealing polymers created from sustainable surroundings are attractive alternatives to create demand for new pathways in polymer research. This study investigates the efficacy of a biowaste-derived polymer, which was extracted and supplemented with titanium-doped ZnO nanoparticles along with medication in the form of an extract to evaluate its effectiveness in promoting wound healing. The prepared materials were further characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD), UV−visible spectroscopy, Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), optical microscopy, atomic force microscopy (AFM), tensile, and its color parameters. In vitro studies on wound healing were also conducted. The results clearly showed that the produced substance possesses properties that are noteworthy for wound healing.

Tribulus terrestris L. is an herbaceous plant native to India, widely used as a natural sexual stimulant by traditional medicine in China, India, and Greece, and also for the treatment of various diseases for example low blood pressure, cardiovascular diseases, kidney, and skin diseases, etc. Tribulus extracts are rich in numerous biologically active compounds, such as steroidal saponins, alkaloids, lignan amides, and flavonoids, which are useful for the effective treatment of sexual performance, hormonal and sexual problems. The main goal of our in vitro study was to demonstrate the potential consequences of Tribulus terrestris L. extract on TM3 cell parameters such as cell viability, membrane integrity, lysosomal activity, and steroid hormone secretion. The extract was applied to mice Leydig cells at various concentrations (ranging from 37.5 µg/mL to 600 µg/mL) for 24 h. Based on the obtained data, we may claim statistically significant inhibition of cell viability at 300 µg/mL (P < 0.0001) and 600 µg/mL (P < 0.0001). At the same concentrations, there was a statistically significant decline in both cell membrane integrity (P < 0.05; P < 0,0001) and lysosomal activity (P < 0.05; P < 0.001). Hormone secretion was significantly increased at 200 µg/mL (P < 0.05). To better understand how Tribulus terrestris L. affects the reproductive systems of animals or humans, further research must be done.
