“…Inorganic chemistry in the medical field has become an emerging area of research because of the demand for new biologically active compounds. Various studies have shown that binding a drug with metal ions enhances its activity and in some cases the compound has more therapeutic properties than the original drug . In the last few years, the importance of the interaction between oxicams, non‐steroidal anti‐inflammatory drugs, and metal compounds has become an active field of research in organic biochemistry, playing a very important role in medicine, pharmacology and diagnosis .…”

“…Schiff base showed lower cytotoxic effect with IC 50 value 79.41 μM followed by nickel complex (8) 8.33 μM, cobalt complex (7) 8.06 μM and copper complex (9) 7.46 μM. Cytotoxicity of the copper complex is higher than the remaining tested compounds because, ability to produce reactive oxygen species is high in copper complexes as compared to the other first row transition metal complexes, and we found that the synthesized compounds showed reduction in the rate of cell proliferation . The other important feature is the particle size of the metal complexes, nano‐sized metal complexes were used for the activity, and this nano feature of the tested metal complexes increased the anticancer activity via stress‐free dispersion of compounds to tumor cells.…”

“…Metal ions in these cases are Ru(II), Rh(III), Ir(III), or Ni(II); α-aminophosphines bear morpholine, piperazine, or carboxyphenyl substituents at the N atom. 21,32,33 Meantime, metal-assisted synthesis can facilitate transformations in ligands, yielding novel architectures, which are otherwise difficult to access. 34,35 Therefore, our motivation in this work is to find novel metal-assisted P−C bond activation paths for aminophosphines, especially for lumines- cent ones, which comprise a photophysically active sulfur− nitrogen heterocycle.…”

“…20 Introduction of photoactive substituents in αaminophosphines can expand the range of possible applications of these compounds toward photocatalytic and luminescence scopes. However, the range of such photoactive derivatives is very limited, 21 which stimulates their design and engineering.…”
