Abstract: Tidal marsh restoration is becoming an increasingly common tool to plan for future sea level rise. Subsided marshes' elevation can be restored through sediment additions, which may necessitate the reestablishment of vegetation. Understanding key actions to increase vegetation cover at areas that remain persistently bare following elevation restoration is a critical component of a project's long‐term success.
