Abstract:A novel method based on reaction of β-ketothioamides (KTAs) with malononitrile to construct thiazolylidenes has been developed under metal-free conditions. This method used cheap tetrabutylammonium iodide (TBAI) as catalyst and t-butylhydroperoxide (TBHP) as oxidant in the presence of Et 3 N at room temperature for 1 h to synthesize a series of 4-aminothiazolylidene derivatives in good yields. This reaction has some advantages such as simple operation, mild reaction conditions, short reaction time, environment… Show more
A Na2CO3-promoted reaction of β-ketothioamides (KTAs) and cyanoacetates was developed for the synthesis of pyrrole disulfides using air as a green oxidant. This protocol features by a broad substrate scope...

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
