Abstract: Die Antibiotika der Tetracyclin-Reihe spielen nach wie vor eine wichtige Rolle in der Humanund Veterinarmedizin sowie in der Tiererniihrung. Zu den klassischen, fermentativ gewonnenen Tetracyclinen sind partialsynthetische Produkte gekommen, die vor allem durch giinstigere pharmakokinetische Eigenschaften und bessere Vertraglichkeit Vorteile bieten.
