Abstract: Patients with diabetes mellitus have diabetic dyslipidemia that occurs due to disturbances in glucose metabolism and can lead to hypertriglyceridemia (HPTG). Severe HPTG is associated with significantly increased risk of developing acute pancreatitis (AP).
