Abstract: BackgroundTetramethylpyrazine (TMP) is a natural alkaloid compound with antioxidant and neuroprotective effects. We hypothesized that TMP could exert neuroprotective effects by inhibiting ferroptosis through modulating iron metabolism, but its mechanism is unclear.
