Tetranuclear Nickel(II) and Cobalt(II) Complexes with 3,5-Dimethyl-1-pyrazolylmethanolato and Acetato Bridges Having a Cubane Core

Abstract: There have been considerable interest in the coordination chemistry of metal complexes with pyrazole and their derivatives owing to diverse coordination modes and relevance to a biological-active metal center with imidazole-like ligands. [1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8] Recently, we studied metal complexes with a multidentate ligand, N,N,N¢,N¢-tetrakis(3,5-dimethyl-1-pyrazolyl)methyl-1,4-phenylenediamine (tpmp), having the 1,4-phenylenediamine moiety, and isolated a dinuclear cobalt complex from a reaction of cobalt(I… Show more

“…105 The matrix parameters associated with complex 1 are found to be analogous to that of the similar tetranuclear Co 4 O 4 analogs reported in the literature (Table S2). 106 The structure and surface morphology of complex 1 and post-sample of complex 1 (after 100 cycling) were analyzed by field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM). Figure 2a−c illustrates the low-to-high magnification image of complex 1, distorted cubic structure along with porous nature.…”
