“…The strong ground motions during this event caused significant damage over a wide area in the Noto peninsula, including Wajima city and Anamizu town, for wooden houses in particular, which are typical residences in Japan (e.g., Nishida et al, 2007;Yamada et al, 2008). These strong ground motions were densely observed by the nationwide digital strong-motion seismograph networks, K-NET (Kinoshita, 1998) and KiK-net (Aoi et al, 2000), both installed by NIED. A peak ground velocity of 103 cm/s was observed during the mainshock at a K-NET strong-motion station, ISK005, in Anamizu town.…”

“…50%の建物全壊率を与える地震動は、PGAで1792cm/s 2 、PGVで170cm/sである。この被害率曲線を過去 の被害地震の調査結果 5,[10][11][12] と比較した。既往の研究で得られたPGV-被害率のサンプルと、被害率曲 線を図10に示す。長野県栄村の被害率は1995年兵庫県南部地震の震災復興都市づくり特別委員会が行 った被災調査の被害率 10) よりは小さく、2000年鳥取県西部地震 11) や2004年新潟県中越地震 5) と比較する と、120 cm/s以下ではほぼ同等、それ以上では被害率が大きくなっている。栄村は日本有数の豪雪地で あり、積雪に備えた建物のメンテナンスが耐震性につながった可能性も考えられる。被害率曲線は、 ある閾値を境にして急激に被害率が増加するため、150 cm/s以上でサンプルのない2000年鳥取県西部地 震と2004年新潟県中越地震は、地震動が大きい場合適切に評価できない。本研究で求められた被害率 曲線では、150cm/sを境にして木造建物の倒壊率が急増し、倒壊率が半数を超える結果が得られた。…”
