“…The Y-Si-Sb ternary system has not been studied over the full concentration region. Among the M-X-Sb and related ternary systems (RE = rare earth elements, X = Al, Ga, Si, Ge), only for Y-Al-Sb [1], Ce-{Si,Ge}-Sb [2], Dy-Si-Sb [3] and Ti-{Si,Ge}-{Sb,Bi} [4][5][6] phase diagrams were reported. The existence of 'pseudobinary' compounds formed by substitution in the Zr 5 (Al,Ga,In) 3−x Sb x , Ti 5 Ga 3−x Sb x and Hf 5 In 3−x Sb x systems (x =∼1.5) [7] and Sc 5 Al 3−x Sb x (x = 0.5-2.75), Sc 5 Ga 3−x Sb x (x = 0-2.35) [8] were investigated as a possible way to enhance oxidative resistance and stability.…”
