Abstract:Background: shock index (SI), calculated as the ratio of heart rate (HR) to systolic blood pressure (SBP), is used to measure the degree of hypovolemia in shock states. Little literature reported on the role of SI in detecting postpartum haemorrhage (PPH) in obstetrics.
