Abstract: The use of coal as a raw material for power plants has a good economic impact, but it also has a detrimental environmental impact, particularly due to the presence of Cr and Pb, heavy metals with bioaccumulation and biomagnification qualities. Efforts to control Pb and Cr in liquid coal waste can be achieved by bioremediation.
