Abstract:The accreditation of academic programs in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology and other related programs is increasing annually. Academic accreditation is a quality assurance mechanism for tertiary education. Accreditation ensures that a department or program meets a set of independently specified quality criteria and allows for articulation and course recognition by professional bodies and industry acceptance.
