“…In the Tarim Craton, ca. 2.3 Ga magmatism from the Quanji massif is interpreted to have formed in a postcollisional extensional tectonic regime displaying a heterogeneous Nd-Hf isotopic compositions, while those from Heluositan Group are formed in continental rift with negative ε Nd(t) values (Zhang et al, 2007;Gong et al, 2014;He et al, 2018 (Tchameni et al, 2001;Manyeruke et al, 2004;Kullerud et al, 2006;French and Heaman, 2010;Kumar et al, 2012;Nilsson et al, 2013;Stepanova et al, 2015).…”

“…From the Chimbadzi Hill dyke troctolite that intruded into the Archaean basement near the Magondi Supergroup, baddeleyites were dated at 2,262 ± 2 Ma using U–Pb dating (Manyeruke et al, ). This age is considered coeval to that of basaltic volcanic rocks at the base of the Deweras Group (Manyeruke et al, ), but the direct contact between them has not been observed (Master et al, ; 2013). The Hurungwe Granite that intruded into the Pirwiri Group yielded a SHRIMP U–Pb zircon age of 1997.5 ± 2.6 Ma (McCourt, Hilliard, Armstrong, & Munyanyiwa, ).…”

“…Time constraints for the Magondi Supergroup are still not well established because of lack of intrusive igneous rocks or tuff layers. Although baddeleyites in troctolite from the Chimbadzi Hill dyke near the base of the Magondi Supergroup yielded a U–Pb age of 2,262 ± 2 Ma (Manyeruke et al, ), the direct contact between the troctolite and Magondi Supergroup is unclear (Master, Bekker, & Hofmann, ). In addition, there is no report to constrain ages of basement granitoids in the Lomagundi area.…”
