This research aims to describe the role of women in Maluku, particularly in the tourist destination of Negeri Hukurila Beach, in the local economy through ecotourism with a socio-ecological and socio-economic approach. Through this analysis, we aim to understand the contributions of women in maintaining the sustainability of the natural environment and promoting local economic development. The research findings indicate that women in Maluku possess rich ecological knowledge and play a crucial role in preserving the natural environment in this region. They actively engage in various aspects of ecotourism, such as guiding tours, managing local eateries, producing traditional handicrafts, and operating homestays. Their contributions in these sectors not only add value to the tourist experience but also have a positive impact on the local economy. Additionally, women in Maluku have the potential to strengthen their role in decision-making related to ecotourism development. By actively participating in the planning and management of local resources, they can play a key role in formulating policies that support sustainable development. The research also reveals that women in Maluku play a crucial role in raising public awareness about marine conservation. Concrete actions, such as maintaining beach cleanliness, anti-littering campaigns along the coast or rivers, and encouraging fishermen to use sustainable fishing techniques, are integral parts of their efforts to build awareness about the importance of preserving the marine environment. Thus, this research concludes that women have a significant role in ecotourism in Maluku, both in socio-ecological and socio-economic terms.

The expansion of Central Luwu Regency is an effort of the Luwu community, especially the local elites of Luwu Regency as a representative, the Walenrang-Lamasi area as a candidate for a new autonomous region is geographically separated from its parent district, the idea of dividing Central Luwu Regency began in 2005 when the division of two sub-districts into six sub-districts in the Malenrang-lamasi region. This study aims to see how consistent local elites are in overseeing the expansion process and how the stages have been achieved. In writing this article, the method used is qualitative method, determination of selected informants with purposive techniques, data collection is carried out using interview techniques. The result of this research is that since the beginning of the entrenchment process, the local elites of Luwu Regency have several times formed a structured work agenda in accordance with the stages of expansion in the law, the process achieved is the fulfillment of administrative requirements, the acceptance of hearings in the DPR-RI and as an initiative in the plenary meeting to be forwarded to the president.

<p>In 2019 there was damage to the mangrove forest which was converted into fish ponds by cutting down 200 hectares of mangrove land in Aeramo Village, which is the northern coastal area of Aesesa District, Nagekeo Regency. This study aims to map changes in mangrove areas and determine mangrove density values.This study uses the NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) analysis technique to determine the density of mangrove vegetation in 2011, 2016 and 2021 using Landsat 7 and Landsat 8 imagery and uses an overlay analysis technique from the results of classifying mangrove density classes to determine changes in the area of mangrove areas. The results of the study show that the mangrove area on the north coast of Aesesa District shows density values that vary with The range of vegetation density index in Landsat 7 imagery in 2011 is from -0.573770464 to 0.54666682, in 2016 it has a vegetation density index range from -0.291984737 to 0.609456897 and in 2021 it has a vegetation density index range from -0.067266561 to 0.579148531 which is divided into 5 density classes namely; very rare, rare, moderate, rare and very tight. Based on the classification results, the results of changes in the mangrove area decreased to the medium class with forest area from 102.35 hectares to 66.86 hectares from 2011 to 2016 and experienced the largest increase in the very dense class in 2011-2016 where the forest area was in the very dense class. meeting from 128.86 hectares to 210.65 hectares.</p>
