Film is actually a text that shows social reality. The text contained in a film forms a meaning as well as reflects a certain culture. The messages conveyed in films can be informative as well as educational media for the audience, messages to introduce a culture, build a democratic society and films can also unite differences and construct social realities that occur in society. The author in this study looks at the differences in the meaning of pluralism in the film "Raya and The Last Dragon". That there is a fact that a film can carry out the function of improving people's lives with the story line with the diversity that exists and the characteristics of the differences depicted in the film. This study aims to find out the various meanings in terms of designation, implied and myths contained in the film "Raya and the Last Dragon". The writing in this study uses a constructive paradigm to carry out Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis and this research uses qualitative research methods to understand the various meanings in the film "Raya and the Last Dragon". Based on the results of research and discussion, it can be said that this film shows the meaning of pluralism which is understood democratically, equality of difference. the differences that are denotatively described have connotations associated with the differences that are constructed into an agreement. The film depicts togetherness and unity in a difference, so that a myth arises that describes a shift in meaning from plurality, namely that strength and unity are formed from differences and diversity that exist.

This paper aim to analyze the message from the Samsung x BTS Ads: Galaxy for the planet. Global warming is a form of ecosystem imbalance on earth due to increasing the average temperature of the atmosphere, sea, and land on earth. Samsung and BTS works together in this Ads to show some concern about environment. This research uses descriptive qualitative type. The qualitative descriptive method is a research method based on the post-positivism philosophy. Therefore, researchers have analyzed objects and examined each icon, indexical, and symbol to be observed with three aspects of Pierce's Object theory. According to Pierce, semiotics is a science that discusses signs and the production of their meanings. At this stage, the researcher will discuss the results and research data regarding the problems described, namely the Semiotic Analysis of Samsung x BTS: Galaxy for the Planet advertisements. This advertisement has meaning and message to change people's mindset towards the earth to be more concerned about the environment. This ad also displays symbols and signs. As an electronic brand, Samsung pays more attention to the surrounding environment by using recycled material to minimize environmental impact and carefully chooses its brand ambassador to add value to its ads.

The aim of this study is to find out the major symbols in the animated film entitled Raya and the Last Dragon. The film presented lots of signs. This study focuses on the major symbols in the film. The major symbols are most frequently mentioned and presented in the film. They are considered representative symbols in the film. The major symbols were analyzed by the application of the qualitative approach. Five symbols are presented in this study. To begin with, the land of heart symbolically means the center of prosperity. The heart is considered the land of welfare. In addition, Kumandra means the land of harmony and peace. The people live harmoniously and peacefully with nature in Kumandra. Furthermore, Dragon’s Gem has also a symbolical meaning of unity. The gem gives a message of being united. Additionally, Sisu is the last dragon awakened by Raya, the protagonist. Sisu also gives a symbolic meaning of trust. Sisu teaches other characters to trust each other. Lastly, Drunn implies a symbolical meaning. It conveys the threat of sustainable development for humans and the environment. All in all, the five major symbols in the film contain meanings. Their meanings are the message of the film. Above and beyond, the five symbols give a message of living with unity, harmony, and peace with nature to maintain environmental sustainability. The five symbols as well prove reading a literary work is advantageous because the readers can be enlightened by the moral message of the literary work.
